ASLRRA provides the framework and support for our members to ensure compliance. ASLRRA’s elite staff of industry experts provides representation in Congress and in the regulatory agencies to ensure our voices are heard, and our achievements recognized. A key resource for all short line and regional railroad entities is the Short Line Safety Institute (SLSI). SLSI and its programs support the short line and regional railroad industry’s goal of performing at an increasingly higher level of safety by encouraging a focus on safety culture.

Senate Task Force Reports Confirm Need for Certainty in Tax Policy

WASHINGTON, August 14, 2019 - The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) issued the following statement regarding the release of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee taskforce reports that examined more than 40 temporary tax provisions that expired, or will expire, between December 31, 2017 and December 31, 2019.
