SLSI and its programs support the short line and regional railroad industry’s goal of performing at an increasingly higher level of safety by encouraging a focus on safety culture.

Short Line Tax Credit Tops 100 Co-sponsors in 116th Congress 

WASHINGTON, February 12, 2019 – Late yesterday, HR 510, which calls for permanence of the short line tax credit, formally received its 100th co-sponsor.

Senate Joins House in Call for Permanence of Short Line Tax Credit

WASHINGTON, January 25, 2019 – Today the Building Rail Access for Customers and the Economy (BRACE) Act, S. 203, was introduced, offering permanence to the Short Line Railroad Maintenance Tax Credit (‘45G’) and providing application of the credit through 2018.

Chuck Baker Chosen to Lead ASLRRA

Today the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association’s (ASLRRA) Chair, Judy Petry, President and General Manager of Farmrail System, Inc., announced the ASLRRA Board’s appointment of Charles H. “Chuck” Baker as the Association’s new President. Baker will begin his tenure on February 4, 2019.
