Register Now for Railroad Day on Capitol Hill 2025

May 7, Washington, D.C.

Railroad Day on Capitol Hill is the day everyone involved in the freight railroad industry comes together to take our shared message to Congress. Short Lines, Regionals, Class I’s, and all the industry’s contractors and suppliers unite for one cause – to make sure that Congress understands our priorities.

Railroad Day is the day we put the real face on the issues that matter most to our industry. When we turn out in force, we demonstrate that our issues affect individuals, companies, towns and cities, and the broader economy.

The 119th Congress will take up legislation that will have a significant impact on our industry including Surface Transportation Reauthorization, and a tax bill which may address modernizing the Short Line Maintenance Tax Credit (45G) and bonus depreciation, and more.

Why You Should Attend

Your participation as a constituent will help Congress understand the vital role that railroads play in growing America's economy, and connecting American industries to the global marketplace. We will also discuss the barriers to success, and how Congress can assist.

We welcome participation from first time attendees! You will be well-prepared with advance training on talking points and issue areas. Registrants will receive an invitation to Zoom training sessions in advance of Railroad Day.

Event Schedule

  • 7:00-9:00 a.m.: Breakfast and materials pickup at the Monocle Restaurant, located at 107 D Street NE, Washington, D.C. 20002.
